Colours
We understand how critical getting the right colour is and also how difficult it is for us to represent the colours available to you accurately using either a colour chart on our website or photographs in a catalogue. All computer screens are set to different colour resolution settings and photographs vary under studio lights and printing reproduction.
The variety and array of colours is increasing constantly and our approval service and no quibble refund policy are designed to let you see the true colours of our wigs with minimum hassle and maximum clarity.
You can also shade match by sending us a sample of the colour you wish to match to, should you wish.
In the old days the colouring numbering system was relatively straightforward with the lower the number the darker the colour. It worked roughly like this:-
Number 1 = Black
2-12 Browns (2 very dark brown, 14 ash brown almost blonde).
16-26 Blondes (26 very light blonde)
27-33 Reds (27 Strawberry blonde, 33 dark auburn)
36-48 Brown/Grey mixes
51-58 Greys
60 = White
101 = Pearl white (white blonde)
Of course there were variations even in this system.
Now days there are trend colours, root colours and various descriptive names to contend in addition to the old numbering system.
